James Wright is amongst New Zealand’s most accomplished sculptors, with work found throughout the country in private and public collections. His art has an unmistakable, unique style with an organic quality that exploits and reveals the very essence of the material.
James’ sculptures are influenced by his heritage and many years of experience, developing natural themes and design. His steel sculptures are often elegant simple forms that have a sense of belonging in their landscape while still holding a strong presence.
Lynda Hallinan has a dream job: gardening, and writing about it. As a journalist, author, broadcaster and former editor of NZ Gardener magazine, she has spent 20 years visiting private and public gardens, and attending flagship landscape design shows from London to Bilbao. She'd love to see more sculptures, large and small, sprouting in New Zealand gardens, including her own at Foggydale Farm in Hunua
